Kane: A Gangster's Love Story

Just the two of them were out celebrating at one of his good friends’ new lounge. Serenity was set to leave Satin Hills the next day and chase after her dreams in The Big Apple. As much as Kane was reluctant to see her go, he refused to keep begging her to stay. Instead, he took care of the cost of her flight and hotel, filled her bank account with his dirty money, and agreed to drop her off at the airport when the time came.

A few years ago, he’d met Serenity at one of the diners his father owned and since then, he hadn’t let the pretty brown round out of his sight. Tomorrow, everything would change though, and his heart throbbed like a muthafucka about her upcoming departure.

As the dim lights cast a seductive glow over the small section, Serenity sat on Kane’s lap, swaying her hips, moving in sync with the beat. Their closeness resonated deep in his soul, creating an intimate connection that couldn’t be broken no matter the distance.
